Kevin Yee

Biography

Kevin Yee practices general civil litigation. He works closely with his clients to ensure that they are well-informed and at ease at all stages of their civil disputes. Kevin is dedicated to securing fair and just results for his clients — through negotiations or, when necessary, at trial.

Kevin has successfully advocated for his clients at many levels of court and tribunals. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Provincial Court of British Columbia, British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Kevin has gained valuable experience litigating for and against insurance companies. He speaks Cantonese and often represents members of the Chinese community.

Kevin enjoys writing about his experiences as a trial lawyer. He is a long-time columnist for the local newspaper The Georgia Straight. He also writes for the legal profession. His articles have been featured in publications for the Canadian Bar Association and the British Columbia Paralegal Association. He has presented for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and has made guest appearances on local Chinese radio shows.

Kevin was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Outside of law, you’ll find Kevin exploring hiking trails throughout southwestern British Columbia or supporting local craft breweries.
